Special Collections and Archives: ENGAGE!

You make primary sources come alive. Without researchers and users, primary sources are papers and mementos on a shelf. They are the raw materials necessary to understand our shared past, but they don’t tell those stories on their own. They need your help to examine, question, interpret, and share. We invite you to use our collections in our Special Collections and Archives reading room in Chicago. The curated resources linked to this page are offered as an introduction, as a gateway to the rich collections that are available onsite, and as examples of how digital reproductions of physical materials can be shared, compared, annotated, and contextualized to enhance access and exploration.
